Center of competence QUASAR

The Center of Competence QUASAR (Quantum Communication, Intelligent Security Systems, and Risk Management) is a Bulgarian hub focused on research and innovation in quantum communication, cybersecurity, and risk management for critical infrastructure. It brings together science, business, and public institutions to develop advanced technologies and practical solutions. Since its establishment, QUASAR has become a national leader in integrating quantum communication and intelligent security, playing a key role in building Bulgaria’s quantum communication infrastructure under the EU EuroQCI initiative. The center coordinates pilot projects such as secure communication networks in Sofia and a 280 km quantum route to the Greek border, strengthening national and cross-border digital security.
